Astoria Music Society To Launch Winter Season

The heart will certainly flutter as the orchestra comes alive this winter. 

The Astoria Music Society is proud to announce that their 13th season will begin this December 19th at 8PM.

'Beautiful Winter' will mark the start of the season, performed by the Dorian Baroque Orchestra on baroque period instruments. There will also be a festival in which one of the greatest living composers, Denmark's Per Nørgård, will be celebrated. 

The season will include music by Vivaldi, J.S. Bach, G.F. Handel, Ralph Vaughan Williams, Robert Schumann, Johannes Brahms, Antonin Dvorak, and more!

The Astoria Symphony Orchestra will also be presenting romantic masterpieces in their later concert entitled Legacies, along with a festival held by Lost Dog New Music Ensemble celebrating Denmark's Per Nørgård.
