There's a big change coming to Astoria, and when we say big, we mean….BIG!

34-30 Steinway St may soon be the destination for a massive high end gourmet market and restaurant complex, according to Winick Realty Group, the leasing firm who is marketing the space to an array of national big box retailers. 

The three story building may also consist of a number or retailers who have also been eyeing the space. 

The leasing of the development is for 34 Steinway Ground LLC who is also converting four one-story properties at the same site, all into a sizable building with around 120,000 square feet of space. 

The potential project will fit perfectly in on Steinway, which is already seen as Astoria's main shopping destination. The building faces both Steinway and 38th street, and there is also plans for an underground car-park to ease the hassle of street parking on what is already a busy street. 

The construction of the project is set for completion in 2018. 

Winich Realty Group has stated that it is currently in talks with a number of national big name brands which are all interested in leasing in the space, and there's also potential for the entire thing to go to one company.
