Sunday morning at around 4AM, Polic were called in when witnesses heard several shots fired on Steinway Street, between 28th and 30th Avenues.

It appeared that a 23 year old man who was sitting in his car was struck both in the neck and in the chest, after which he was quicly taken to Elmhurst Hospital.

It is still not clear if the gunman fired from a car he was in, or whether from on foot, however he did leave the scene in a dark-colored Mercedes, racing away.

To add even more misfortune, there was also an NYPD vehicle responding to the call who got into an accident several blocks away. The accident involved three other cars, luckily however no one was seriously injured.
