Salvatore quickly decided on the space, and in a few short weeks Yogurt La Crepe will be making it’s Astoria debut. Now, we know what you’re thinking: “ANOTHER YOGURT PLACE?” But what sets Yogurt La Crepe apart is in their name – their amazing, fresh, hand-made crepes.
“We wanted something for cold weather as well as warm, and crepes were the perfect addition to yogurt.” Their crepe selection is going to be huge – with something for everyone. There will be savory crepes, like their specialty Grilled Chicken Crepe, which has pepperjack cheese, pesto sauce and is topped with bruschetta tomatoes, and mouth-watering sweet crepes, like the Strawberry Banana and Nutella crepe, one of their best sellers. They’ll have more like Dulce de Leche, Almond Joy, and even a specialty crepe that is sliced like spaghetti, and topped with honey, nuts, cinnamon and some very secret ingredients.
The yogurt they’ll be having is equally amazing, in that their selection is HUGE. Seriously huge. The flavors range from classics like chocolate and vanilla, to unique flavors like New York Cheesecake, Snickerdoodle, Mountain Blackberry, Organic Taro and Hawaiian Pineapple. There’s also dairy free sorbets, gluten free, low fat and non fat varieties. “We wanted something for everyone,” Salvatore said, “We didn’t just want to appeal to the majority. There’s so many people that can’t have dairy, or can’t have gluten, and we wanted to create options for every single person to enjoy.”
Yogurt La Crepe is aiming for a June opening, so keep an eye out! It’s going to be a great place to escape the hot, Astoria summer days with some cold, refreshing yogurt. We can’t wait! In the meantime, you can see their entire menu here!
