Among a block of apartment buildings, 23-06 was one of the only unusual car garages that remained. The space is just a few blocks from the waterfront, so it’s a pretty prime spot for residential buildings.

The Department of Buildings just issued a work permit for the space, and it looks like it’s going to be a six story building. The details state it will be a “Six story with cellar, ten family building.” New space is always great, and we’re all for adding in some more apartment space – but we’re still reeling from thoughts of the Astoria Cove project – and we’re really hoping the rent here is more affordable.
