Channel Your Inner Movie Star!

Next month, you have the chance to experiences what it’s like to film at Kaufman Astoria Studios! Channel your inner Nurse Jackie or Piper Chapmann and explore!

The event is called “New York on Location,” and it’s going to be at the Kaufman Astoria Studios outdoor lot on 36th Street (where Astoria Flea is held!), on September 21st, from 11am to 5pm. You’ll be able to explore the production trailers and dressing rooms.

Hosted by the Museum of the Moving Image, the Theatre Teamsters Local 817, and of course, Kaufman Astoria Studios, the 6 hour event will have more than 20 trailers and trucks from local film productions.

You can ask questions from industry professionals, as well as check out where the stars get their hair done, their wardrobes, and even what they eat! Who doesn’t want to dive in to a movie catering truck?

For even more entertainment, there’s going to be professional stunt performers doing moves like “high falls, street fighting, stunt driving and more.”
