When Ashley Dean moved to Astoria, she realized there wasn’t a real way for 20-somethings to get to know each other, mingle and enjoy all that Astoria has to offer. From there, the idea for Ice Cream Social Sundays was born!

Ashley, who also goes by the self-proclaimed moniker of “Queen of Astoria,” tells us “I wanted to put together something that was fun – a way for people in the neighborhood to get to know each other.”

We absolutely loved the idea – and along with Waltz-Astoria, are proud to say that we’re sponsoring the first ever Ice Cream Social Sunday!

The first installment of Ice Cream Social Sundays is being held Sunday November 2nd from 6-10pm. The day party will be held at Tantra Lounge, right below the 36th avenue stop on the N/Q line in Astoria, Queens.

The party features free admission, ice cream, and giveaways. There will be live music from DJ duo Scuba Squad and will be awesomely hosted by the Queen of Astoria.

If you’re new to the area, it’ll be a great way to mingle and meet some friends, and even if you’ve been in the area forever, it’s a great way to get to know some more people!
