A new bill has just been announced, making New York Veterans eligible to receive up to $7,500 in property tax relief per year.

Above is a picture of the politicians that announced the bill – posted by Senator Michael Gianaris, with the caption,

“Proud to announce new and increased property tax relief for veterans today with Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas, Senator Joe Addabbo, and local veterans and community leaders at the Astoria Park Veterans Memorial. With this new law we send a message to all those who serve that New York welcomes you home with open arms and we will do everything we can to repay you for keeping our country safe.”

We’re glad to see an increased focus on veterans in New York – it’s important to give back to those that have given our country their all.
