Superbowl in Astoria!

Astoria, it’s that time of year again! Time to scream at your TV,  gorge yourself on chips and dip, and drink cold beer. It’s Superbowl time!  We’ve rounded up some of the best spots in Astoria to watch the Superbowl.

Katch, 31-19 Newtown Avenue

Katch is definitely one of our favorite spots for sporting events. The vibe is always amazing, and there’s never a dull moment – especially when it comes to something as big as the Superbowl. Plus, they’ve got really good drink specials going on all night – you can’t lose!

Blackbird’s, 41-19 30th Avenue

Blackbird’s is having drink specials all night – but they can also help you celebrate at home! If you place an order by tomorrow  you can make your Superbowl party awesome with some fresh wings! The day of the game they’re having 1/2 price wings, $3 bud lights and 6 for $9 buckets of nips.

Rocky McBride’s, 27-01 23rd Avenue

Rocky McBride’s is having a four hour open bar (including everything except shots) but 6:30 to 10:30 pm for $40 a person. They’ve also got a free hot buffet featuring pepper steak, wings, mac and cheese, pulled pork, meatballs and egg rolls. If you purchase an open bar ticket you’re automatically entered into their halftime raffle for a Patriots jersey, Seahawks jersey, and other goodies. Message them on Facebook or call the bar to reserve a table!

Cavo, 42-18 31st Avenue

Cavo is focusing on food this Superbowl – and they’re going the all you can eat route. While not typically a Sports bar, Cavo should be a fun place to party for the Superbowl – especially if you love eating! They’ve got higher charges for guys though, so if you’re a big group of guys – it might end up costing a bit.

John Brown Smokehouse, 10-43 44th Dr. Long Island City

The smokehouse is keeping it meaty – with $1 wings being cooked up all night. If you’ve had their wings before, you definitely want to take advantage of this deal. Hurry quick, though! You have to pre-order by this Friday.

Oliver’s Astoria, 37-19 Broadway

Oliver’s has super cheap draft – and some kitchen specials!

Twist and Smash’d Sports, 34-02 Steinway Street

Twist and Smash’d haven’t shared what they’ll be featuring on their game night specials, but it’ll be a good time, since they’re a sports bar!

Bohemian Hall and Beer Garden, 29-19 24th Avenue

The Beer Garden is getting their party started with tailgating at 4:00 p.m, and they’ve got great pitcher prices as well – just $10.

Snowdonia, 34-55 32nd Street

Snowdonia is another place focusing on food – and cheap food at that. Since they’re one of the smaller venues, this is the spot to go if you’re not looking for a huge bar to go to – but don’t expect it to be any less rowdy! It’s a more intimate space, but with the same cheering and celebrating.
