Halloween Harvest Festival Time Is Here

As we're nearing the day of the Gauls and Goblins, Socrates Sculpture Park's annual Halloween Harvest Festival is upon us. 

This Saturday, October 24th, Astorians will get a chance to have some Halloween fun at Socrates Park, for FREE!

There will be:

– Make your own costume: Where you can create a cool Halloween costume and have some fun with the kids. Workshops are led by Socrates Artists along with Free Style Association. 11am – 2pm

Shadow Puppets: Look on in amazement as a dazzling story unfolds before your very eyes, courtesy of Midnight Radio Show. 11:30am – 2pm

Face painting: If you wanna go as a Tiger or as Spider-Man, Agostino Arts has you covered, literaly. 12pm – 3pm

Nepalese Harvest Festival Dance: A traditional Gai Jatra Harvest Festival performance, brought to you by The Dance Theater of Nepal. 12pm – 1pm

You'll also be able to enter your dog in the Annual Juried Canine Costume Contest (1pm – 2pm). Dress your little four legged friend in a costume and perhaps you'll win. 

There will even be pet blessings by Urban Shaman Mama Donna,  for all the lucky little canines (2pm – 3pm).

 

The Festival begins at 11am and ends at 3pm.
