Madam Sou Sou – Voilà! The Taste Of France On 33rd St

By Ilija Sekulovski

Ever so often we like to sit back and picture ourselves somewhere than where we currently are, and often times, we stop over in the City of Love – Paris, France, and, what better place to be? The sights and the tastes of an enchanted city, we have always had a love affair with France – the people, the culture, and of course, the food. One of the great things about our little slice of the globe is that we don’t have to travel too far to embark on a mouthwatering journey that will stimulate the palate.

Madame Sou Sou, a quaint French cafe will surely take you on that journey, and the best part is that no passport is required! The menu consists of freshly baked cakes with only the best ingredients such as organic eggs and flour, fresh fruits, and Valrohna chocolate. Their renowned carrot cake is perfectly moist with real carrots and pecans and topped with a rich and delicious real cream cheese frosting. Whether you are a carnivore or a vegetarian, Madame Sou Sou will have what your heart desires, from quiches to soups that will warm you up when it is cold outside.

Let’s face it, we’ve thought about the south of France at some point and with their selection of freshly baked croissants and steamy coffees, we’re one step closer.
