Passage Irish Whiskey Bar and Kitchen To Open In Astoria

Passage Irish Whiskey Bar is coming to town. Owners of The Cuckoo’s Nest in Woodside and Banter in Forest Hills, Michael Mansfield and partner will be opening up an Irish Whiskey Bar on 30th Avenue, taking over the spot where Front Toward Enemy once was.

The new member of 30th Avenue is set to have a true Irish pub ambiance, according to DNAinfo.

Mansfield told DNAinfo that the new pub, named after a village in Mansfield’s native Ireland, will have the traditional Irish Pub feel, similar to Banter which after opening in 2013 quickly became a favorite.

The whiskey menu will be long, as the case with a good whiskey bar, and the menu will be taking more risks, according to Mansfield, but still bare similarities with it’s counterpart, Banter.

The Passage will hopefully be open to residents by St Patrick’s Day, and will be one of many additions to the ever growing 30th Avenue.
