The Kentucky Derby, or as we know it – 'The Fastest Two Minutes in Sports' or 'The Run For The Roses- is perhaps one of the biggest horse races in the world. The first leg of the tripple crown, it starts on the first Saturday of May, capping the 2 week long Kentucky Derby Festival (thanks Wikipedia).

And now, you can join the celebrations right here in Astoria, at our very own Bonnie as they offer up some great drink specials and show the Derby on their TV's. 

The fun starts at 3PM, and everyone is urged to come dressed to the nines in their best festive attire. 

Some of the specials?

Mint Juleps – $8 (traditional beverage of the race, an iced drink consisting of bourbon, mint, and a sugar syrup)
Spiked Sweet Tea – $8
Hot Browns – $11
