Life is full of complicated ethical questions: Should doping be permitted in sports? What, if anything, do we owe to the incarcerated? Are reality TV shows ethical? Can we program robot to be moral beings? What does the future of reproduction hold, and will men be able to have babies?

August's Topic: Seinfeldian Ethics: Learning Something from the Show About Nothing
Though it billed itself as the "show about nothing," in reality, Seinfeld dealt with complex ethical issues throughout the show's 9-season run, including end-of-life care, reproductive justice and bodily autonomy. Through classic clips and a panel discussion, we'll examine how Jerry, George, Elaine and Kramer can be used as case studies in the ethical decision-making process.

Panelists:
*Josh Gondelman (Last Week Tonight with John Oliver, Modern Seinfeld Twitter account)
*Jennifer Armstrong (Seinfeldia)
*Alex Curley (Let's Get Ethical! Senior D.C. Field Correspondent)

Join Dr. Elizabeth Yuko ("Everything I Know About Bioethics I Learned from The Golden Girls") to discuss this fascinating topic. This show will focus on one ethical issue which will be discussed using case examples from popular culture first through a lecture and multimedia presentation, then with a panel discussion with relevant experts, and concluding in a group discussion with the audience.
