A Great Look Into True Astoria, Broadway Silk Store.

By Ilija Sekulovski

An Astoria staple, if there ever was one, would always be the Broadway Silk Store, located at 35-11 Broadway. Opening their doors in the 30’s, a time of great depression, they haven’t closed their doors for 4 generations now, and still going strong. True Astorians, a family business and one that’s gone unchanged for decades. The walls, the bench, even the shelves and the antiques which adorn them, are still exactly where they were.

This mini doco look Produced by: James Ogle, Kevin Provost & Dan Connell takes you inside of old and new Astoria, the unchanged shopfront.
