About your panelists:

Kambri Crews is the owner and artistic director of QED. She is also the author of the critically acclaimed memoir Burn Down the Ground (Random House) and a renowned storyteller. She has performed on The Moth, Literary Death Match, Risk! and Mortified and has appeared at SXSW Comedy, UCB Theatre, Gotham Comedy Club. Also a public speaker, she has given speeches at the University of Texas, Texas Book Festival, University of Oregon, SXSW (South by Southwest), DeafHope, and many other schools, colleges, book festivals, and events.

Kathryn Musilek has been working in Public Relations in New York City for 10 years. She began with Beautiful Day Media, a boutique firm representing legacy musical artists with global fame, in support of veteran publicist, Elizabeth Freund. She went on to found Shark Party Media in 2007 working as the sole publicist in the company until 2014 when the Shark Party expanded, bringing on Heidi Vanderlee as the second Shark Party Publicist. Musilek believes that honest understanding of the function, constraints, and benefits of PR, paired with appropriate lead time and optimism to burn, creates the perfect environment for a client to thrive and for their profile to be amplified throughout the media. Yes, she is always on the lookout for new clients and projects so don’t hesitate to talk to her about that. And she has a band.

Aparna Nancherla recently wrote for Late Night with Seth Meyers on NBC. You can also see her on the current season of Inside Amy Schumer on Comedy Central and on the upcoming season of Love on Netflix. In addition, she currently hosts the long-running popular underground New York comedy show, Whiplash at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater on Monday nights at 11 p.m. She's also recently been featured on NPR and in the Bust Magazine and New York Times.
