Attention all magic folk and muggles alike, with the coming of the new Harry Potter book, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child Parts I and II, our very own Astoria Bookshop will be celebrating in true Harry Potter fashion – with a Hogwarts pre party!

The book is a special rehearsal edition of the new play which was based on a play she wrote with Jack Thorne and John Tiffany and takes place 19 years after the Harry Potter saga.

To those who can’t wait and want some Potter magic along the way, the fun starts on Saturday, July 30th at 10P.M, in Astoria Bookshop on 31st Street. There will be refreshments inspired by the Potter world, along with costume contests (so dress up!), Pumpin Pasties, Edible Wands, Butterbeer and even a Tarot reader for all those mystics out there.

Then as the clock strikes midnight, the Harry Potter magic will be unleashed, and attendees will be able to purchase the book.

So if you’re feeling magical and are a huge Harry Potter fan, then grab your wands, put on your cloaks and leave the owls at home and come on down to where the magic happens!
