It seems that this man is adamant about letting people know how ignorant he is.
The vandal who was going around Astoria in the last few weeks writing “Obama F- – – -t” on public buildings has started up again. This time police found the hateful phrase plastered onto three parking garage doors in the neighborhood.
Senator Michael Gianaris stated that police noticed the graffiti on 23rd Street, between 28th and 29th Avenue. They found it on April 25th. It was noticeably similar to the slurs that were strewn across a building at 31-19 Newtown Avenue earlier in March.
That building housed offices for Gianaris along with Assemblywoman Aravella Simotas. The man is described as left-handed, white or light skinned, possible Hispanic. Aged between 30 and 40 years old. According to the senator, the NYPD Hate Crimes Task Force has renewed its investigation in light of the second attack.
Deputy Inspector Peter Fortune of the 114th Precinct said, according to QNS, that the vandal had also tagged buildings all around Astoria with the same phrase.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 800-577-TIPS.
