This cute little place gives you the feeling that it belongs tucked away somewhere in an alley in Tokyo. Seating only about 22 people, it’s intimate but never overcrowded. The menu has a wide variety of delicious choices other than just Ramen, but when it comes to Ramen, they got the good stuff. Their R U Okidoki clear chicken and pork Ramen can knock any cold coming your way, and the service is attentive and pleasant at all times. The ambiance is relaxed, very traditional in a sense.

Certainly a favorite, this place is on most peoples list for Ramen in Astoria, and NY for that matter. Looking at it you get a very good sense of traditional Japanese architecture. Dark wood drapes almost every surface, and the lighting inside is often low with a golden hue, to give it a sense of contrast against the outside world. Which ever bowl you pick, you’ll always be pleased with the broth. It’s mouthwatering every time. The menu is extensive, with options ranging from Hiyashi Chuka (cold ramen), Uni ramen, Nagoya (extremely spicy) and much more.
