Affordable Unit Lottery Opens At 10 Halletts Point

This Summer, a lottery will open up for 81 affordable units in the 2.5 million square foot development project in Astoria.

10 Halletts Point will have 405 units at completion, with two outdoor terraces, a fitness center and yoga studio. The development will also include a 25,000 square foot supermarket for all your grocery needs.

The development puts forward quite an attractive offer for residents, especially the lucky lottery winners who will have up for grabs; 81 affordable units, six of which are studios, 50 are one bedrooms, 24 two bedrooms and 1 is a three bedroom apartment.

The amenities will also include barbecue grills, dining tables, resident lounge room, party room with a kitchen and a “Tot Spot” play area for children, along with parking (of course). And did we mention the 25,000 square foot supermarket?

So, what are the Affordable Lottery details?

Well, the rent ranges depending on the apartment type. $947 will get you a studio, $1,230 will settle you into a two bedroom. With the rest in between somewhere.

According to QNS, 50 percent of the units will be geared toward people living in Community Board 1, with 5 percent going toward municipal employees.

Individuals with mobility disabilities will get another 5 percent, and 2 percent will be saved for the vision and hearing impaired.
