In the Spring time Astoria Park begins to truly flourish with festivals, parties, events, fun runs, carnivals, movies and more.

Bringing the park full into gear, here are the upcoming events to keep an eye on.

The Astoria Park Carnival

Where: Hoyt Avenue N & 19th Street (parking lot area)

WhenJune 6-10, 2018: 4PM to 11PM Wednesday – Thursday: 4PM to 11:30PM Friday: Noon to Midnight Saturday: Noon to 11PM Sunday

Queens’ picturesque Astoria Park comes alive with the sights, sounds and aromas of the colorful midway with rides for all ages, carnival games and favorite fair food.

There is no charge for parking and admission to this family-friendly event, which takes place under the RFK Bridge. Ride tickets are $1.50 each, $25 for 20 tickets, or $50 for 50 tickets plus 1 free ride. (Rides take 2 or more tickets each.)

Father’s Day Classic Car Show

Where: Shore Blvd

When: June 17th 11AM till 3PM

Astoria Park Alliance is excited to host this brand new Father’s Day event along the East River. The community is invited to walk down Shore Boulevard aka “The Strip” exploring dozens of classic cars from around the region. Park-goers of all ages are encouraged to meet the car owners and learn more about their vehicles.

Food and craft vendors will stretch along Shore Blvd., accompanied by live music and family activities. Classic car owners will have their vehicles professionally judged in a variety of categories, with trophy presentations on stage to conclude the event.

Award winning singer-songwriter D.B. Rielly will be featured on the main stage. Rielly and his band will perform two sets of their wide-ranging collection of American roots music, including zydeco, blues, and country.

Featured vendors that include The Breakfast Shack, Bench Flour Bakers, Astor Apiaries and HellGate Farm will offer refreshments as well as last minute Father’s Day gifts.

Astoria Park, with its gorgeous views of Manhattan, has a long history of being a magnet for car and motorcycle enthusiasts. Walk the strip on any given day and you are likely to run into proud vehicle owners parked along the riverside showing off their rides and enjoying the view. The Father’s Day Classic Car Show aims to embrace the past, while looking to the future.

Participating classic cars will enter the site for registration prior to the event from the corner of Ditmars Boulevard and Shore Boulevard. While the event is free to the public there is a $15 entry fee  for each vehicle. Wonder Woman in Astoria Park – APA Presents Movies Under The Stars.

Where: Astoria Park by the bridge.

When: June 8th at 8PM.

Astoria Park Alliance will present the box office smash hit Wonder Woman, as their second annual Spring movie screening in Astoria Park.

Pre-show live entertainment will feature the musical stylings of FogoAzul New York City, an all-female Brazilian drumline. Fogo Azul will bring their amazing energy to a performance that will take moviegoers right up to showtime!

A limited amount of FREE popcorn will be distributed.

The movie will be screened on the great lawn of Astoria Park overlooking the sunset across the East River and is scheduled to begin at sundown, which is generally around 8:15 pm. Moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own blankets and picnics.

Yoga on the Terrace Roof

Join the Yoga Room Teachers in Astoria Park this summer for free classes this summer. All classes are open level and based on a vinyasa flow practice. Feel the sun on your skin and the wind in your hair while soaking in the energy of our inspiring city.
