SoBol, Coming To Ditmars, Astoria!
By Ilija Sekulovski
SoBol, the Long-Island based food franchise is expanding even further in their already explosive acai bowl franchise. It’s newest location, Astoria, Queens.
The health chain is known for it’s healthy delicious smoothies, press juices and kombucha, and of course – the acai bowls. The most famous item on their menu, the bowls are a Brazilian dish which is made from mashed acai palm fruit and topped with granola, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, coconut and honey. Or anything else you might fancy.
Very addictive and a healthy option for anyone looking to eat right, New York’s addiction to acai bowls has been steadily growing in the last few years.
SoBol’s newest location will be on 35-04 Ditmars Boulevard. The store will open its doors July 24th, this weekend.
Each acai bowl can be customized to your taste buds with specialty blends of protein powder or apple juice, and mouth watering toppings like peanut butter, hemp seeds or….Nutella!
“It’s just kind of based in a really healthy lifestyle,” Mark Keegan, co-owner, told Patch.
Keegan also has hopes to reach the kids. Establishing solid roots in Astoria will, he says, help partner SoBol with schools where they would serve the health-conscious foods for lunch.
Launched in 2012, the franchise has been picking up speed and is hoping that their newest Astoria location can give them an edge and a base to work from as they establish themselves throughout Queens and New York.
