Suspect wanted for string of alleged assaults on Steinway St.

Authorities are searching for a man who allegedly struck two women in the face on Saturday, January 11th. The man in question is wanted for three separate incidents which took place between 5PM and 6PM last Saturday.

According to the Astoria Post, the suspect first approached a 50-year old woman and her 9-year old daughter near 31-21 Steinway St., and struck the mother in the face. The victim was treated for bleeding and swelling.

The same person in question then proceeded to a storefront, located at 30-07 Steinway St., and allegedly brandished a knife and attempted to punch another individual. The suspect then fled and punched a third person, a 45-year old woman, near 28-33 Steinway St.
