Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz has tested positive for COVID-19: report

As initially reported by Politico, Queens DA Melinda Katz has tested positive for COVID-19.

DA Katz is believed to have contracted the virus from an individual with whom she came into contact with on March 21st, who eventually also tested positive. The Queens DA’s COVID-19 diagnosis was confirmed on Saturday, after feeling feverish for a few days.

District Attorney Katz, as well as the majority of her staff, had been working from home prior to her confirmed diagnoses. According to the report, the Queens DA is no longer experiencing symptoms related to COVID-19, and her fever has subsided.
