CELEBRATING NATIONAL BEER DAY
By Shirley Roberts
Beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage in the United States, and we celebrate it big on April 7th, the designated National Beer Day, yay! The fact that people cherish their beers is more than enough reason to celebrate it . Settlers have brought beer-making traditions to the United States in the 17th century, and ever since, brew-makers large and small have expanded their skills, adapted, and perfected the art of brewing beer; creating new American traditions along the way. That being said, if you think beer is only good for drinking, you have another thing coming! Ever heard of the Southern specialty of beer cheese? It’s a creamy and scrumptious cheese dip, made with beer! Can I get a Hallelujah?
I hope you are in a celebratory mood today and are planning on honoring this day by visiting any one of these awesome local places.
