Sonia Mylonas


Sonia Mylonas is the Founder of Give Me Astoria. Originally from down under, Sonia moved from Melbourne to Astoria in 2006 and has loved every minute of it: from everyone she meets to all the unique encounters, Sonia believes there is truly no place in the world like Astoria, New York! Sonia has been active in the community since her arrival, and has been recognized by numerous publications for her award-winning marketing work and many contributions to the area. She even received a proclamation from New York’s Governor Andrew Cuomo for Astoria Day, which is celebrated every year on September 28th! Sonia serves as an inspiration to our community that everything is possible if you are dedicated to your work and your dreams. Sonia believes in turning all ideas into a reality, and always moving towards her goals, such as creating a go-to source for residents to find out about all of the things happening in our amazing neighborhood!


Loulou Chryssides


Loulou Chryssides is the Editor-in-Chief of Give Me Astoria. A lifelong NYC resident, Loulou takes pride in being part of a neighborhood that offers so much. Loulou loves to cook, travel, and create DIY projects to decorate her apartment. In addition to writing for Give Me Astoria (her favorite job yet), Loulou’s work has been featured and recognized in publications such as The New York Daily News, The Queens Courier, The Tab, The Fordham Observer, and more. She is a graduate of Fordham University and is currently studying sketch-writing with New York City’s Upright Citizens Brigade. Loulou credits her love for random small talk to growing up in a big Greek-American family, so be sure to say hello if you see her around Astoria!


Angelica Eranović


Angelica Eranović is a Writer for Give Me Astoria. Angelica was born in Astoria, and has many fond memories of the neighborhood: from taking karate lessons as a child at Moon S. Lee to frequently enjoying her favorite neighborhood bagels at Astoria Bagels. Angelica is a graduate of Fordham University and has also worked in the fashion industry for many years, in areas such as Sales, Public Relations, and Fashion Design. Combining her love for Astoria with her love for fashion, Angelica created her fashion/lifestyle blog ERAenVogue. Her favorite part about Astoria? Enjoying all of the different cultural cuisines and meeting new people from all different parts of the world.


Eleni Louca


Eleni Louca is the Art Director of Give Me Astoria. Born in Astoria, Eleni lived in Cyprus for nearly 20 years. She began her career in in Europe, designing for some of the biggest magazines in Europe and beyond. Eleni moved back to Astoria in 2014. and loves being able to raise her daughter in the place she first called home. Eleni’s favorite part about living in Astoria? She believes the neighborhood has it all: from parks, museums, history...and even haunted houses! Eleni is constantly creating things and involved in different DIY projects each day. In addition to being an award-winning graphic designer, Eleni has received accolades for her baking, painting, and has even gone as far as to replace the flooring in her home, all on her own!
